Founded in Japan in 1947, Edwin is one of the most influential brands in the history of denim. It grew out of the passion of Mr. Tsunemi, who started out importing jeans from the United States at a time when denim was not yet made in Japan.

In 1961 the first pair of Edwin jeans was made and the brand was officially born. From its early years it stood out for its pioneering spirit and innovation in denim processing, introducing techniques and treatments that influenced the entire industry.
